The military wing of the Islamic Jihad, Saraya al-Quds, announced on Friday a rocket barrage targeting the city of Ashkelon and settlements surrounding Gaza from the northern sector.

An Israeli Occupation Army source told Kan Hebrew channel that three rockets were launched from northern Gaza, with one successfully intercepted and two falling in open areas.

Earlier, the military wing of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, reported carrying out significant operations in Gaza's combat zones, ambushing Israeli Occupation forces.

Al-Qassam Brigades stated that their fighters detonated an anti-personnel "Raadiyah" explosive on an Israeli Occupation infantry unit in Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, resulting in casualties.

Additionally, Al-Qassam confirmed the destruction of two Israeli Occupation Merkava 4 tanks with "Shawaz" explosives in Tel Al-Hawa, and targeting another Merkava tank with a "Yassin 105" projectile in the same area.

Earlier, Al-Qassam announced the sniping of a soldier on one of the vehicles in Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood.
